You would be happy when you find a few dollars in an old bag you have not used in years, but what if we say a guy just got access to his $3 million worth of BTC wallet after 11 years.
Yes, you heard that right, a man forgot his wallet’s password and he locked out of his wallet for a whopping 11 years.
Recently, that man came to know about Joe Grand who seems to be the hacker. The hacker helped him in unlocking his wallet with his expertise.
In order to protect his Bitcoin wallet, the owner used a random password generator called “Roboform.” It seems like he would protect his crypto currency too well. Unfortunately, he lost his password.
That anonymous owner became really anxious someone would hack his personal wallet to obtain the password. Through this process, he would gain access to his currency. As Joe Grand also helped other crypto investors to recover the other wallets of crypto in 2022. Even dozens of people contacted him for support and assistance for their lost treasure.
But Grand declined their requests for multiple reasons but eventually he decided to help this particular person.
In the YouTube video Grand described the whole scenario, he said that the owner of the wallet generated the password, copied it, and put it in the passphrase of the wallet.
At the point of time, the worth of BTC was around just $4,000 but as the price had surged around 20 times, the owner decided to unlock the wallet, he straight way contacted me.
Hence, Grand used a tool developed by the US NSA to disassemble the password generator’s code. So, basically, Grand just hacked the time to get the exact code that the owner used at that particular time.
Grand was able to fool the system by changing the time back to 2013 when the owner used that generated password and after a few attempts, it ultimately generated the same password.
